SOUTH CAROLINA — A pedestrian was killed early Tuesday morning in a hit-and-run crash in Pickens County, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
Troopers said the crash occurred before 2 a.m. on U.S. 76 near Eastwood Circle. Authorities reported the pedestrian was in the roadway at the time of the collision.
Investigators said the vehicle involved left the scene immediately after the crash.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. The Pickens County Coroner’s Office has not yet released the victim’s identity.
The crash remains under investigation.
