Multiple homes and businesses without power in Florida

FLORIDA — Nearly 2,000 homes and businesses across Florida are without electricity Monday morning, according to data from PowerOutage.us.

As of the latest update, approximately 1,894 customers are experiencing outages statewide, representing about 0.02% of the more than 10.9 million customers tracked.

Miami-Dade County reported the highest number of outages, with 274 customers without power. Palm Beach County followed with 246 outages, while Broward County reported 200.

Pinellas County had 186 customers affected, and Brevard County reported 184 outages. Hillsborough County also saw 181 customers without service, with additional outages reported in Alachua and Lee counties.

Among utility providers, Florida Power & Light reported the largest number of outages, with 1,247 customers affected. Duke Energy reported 335 outages, followed by Tampa Electric with 182 customers without power.

Statewide, Florida ranked ninth in the nation for total outages Monday morning.

Utility crews continue working to restore service.
