
FLORIDA — Police are investigating after a body was found in the water behind an apartment complex in Fort Myers on Sunday.
According to the Fort Myers Police Department, officers responded to the area near Metro Parkway and Winkler Avenue, behind the Westwood Apartments, where a body was pulled from the water.
Multiple agencies, including Fort Myers police, the Fort Myers Fire Department, ambulances and the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, responded to the scene.
Officials have not released the identity of the person or the cause of death.
The investigation remains ongoing, and authorities say more information will be released as it becomes available.
