OHIO — A Toledo man and woman were arrested Sunday after police said a child was found living in unsafe and unsanitary conditions inside a home.
According to court records, Toledo Police executed a search warrant and arrested Anna Lambert, 31, and Mathew Copeland, 31. Both are facing child endangerment charges.
Officers described the conditions inside the home as “deplorable,” adding that “people with normal sensibilities would consider [them] inhumane.”
Police said the child was found living among large amounts of dirt, pet feces, bugs and spoiled food.
Lambert and Copeland are scheduled to appear in court Monday morning.
No additional details about the child’s condition have been released.
