ILLINOIS — One person was killed and two others were injured in a shooting early Sunday at a party in Will County, according to authorities.
Police said officers responded around 1 a.m. to the 27000 block of South State Line Road for reports of a large fight at a family gathering.
When officers arrived, they found three people suffering from gunshot wounds at the scene. All three victims were transported to area hospitals, where one person was later pronounced dead. The other two victims sustained injuries, though their conditions have not been released.
Authorities said the shooting is believed to be a domestic-related incident and that there is no ongoing threat to the public.
No suspects are currently in custody.
The investigation remains ongoing.
