KENTUCKY — One person was injured in a shooting early Sunday morning in Lexington, according to authorities.
The Lexington Police Department said officers were dispatched around 2:26 a.m. to the 5000 block of Athens Boonesboro Road for a report of a shooting involving a victim.
When officers arrived, they located one person who had been shot. The victim was taken to a hospital with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.
Police said no suspect information is available at this time.
Detectives are continuing to investigate and are asking anyone with information to contact Lexington police or submit an anonymous tip through Bluegrass Crime Stoppers.
The investigation remains ongoing.
