ARIZONA — A woman was killed in a two-vehicle crash late Saturday night in Phoenix, according to authorities.
The Arizona Department of Public Safety said troopers responded just before midnight on March 28 to a crash on northbound State Route 51 near Bell Road.
Investigators reported that a woman’s vehicle had stopped in the roadway for an unknown reason when it was rear-ended by another vehicle, also driven by a woman.
The driver of the first vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities said the other driver was not injured.
Officials said impairment is not believed to be a factor in the crash. The identities of those involved have not yet been released.
The investigation remains ongoing.
