ALABAMA — A Dothan man was killed Friday night in a motorcycle crash in Houston County, according to authorities.
Officials with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency said the crash happened around 8:41 p.m. on March 27.
Investigators reported that 55-year-old Kenneth E. Preston II was driving a 2008 Honda XR650 motorcycle when it left the roadway and struck an embankment. Preston was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash and was thrown from the motorcycle.
He was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said.
The crash occurred on Mills Street near Glen Lawrence Road, about two miles east of the Dothan city limits.
Troopers with the agency’s Highway Patrol Division are continuing to investigate the crash.
