Statewide, approximately 2,491 homes and businesses are reported without power out of more than 5.36 million customers tracked, representing about 0.05% of customers. That accounts for roughly 6.7% of customers in the county, making it the hardest-hit area in the state. Other counties reporting outages include Richmond County with 78 outages, DeKalb County with 66, and Stephens County with 44.
Utility provider Georgia Power reported the largest number of outages, with more than 2,100 customers affected. Additional outages were reported by Okefenoke REMC and other regional providers.
Restoration efforts are ongoing, and residents are encouraged to check with their local utility companies for updates.
