OHIO — Much colder weather has returned across Ohio to close out the week, with temperatures dropping back into the 30s and even colder conditions expected overnight, according to the National Weather Service.

Forecasters say daytime highs Friday will remain stuck mainly in the 30s across much of the state, with dry conditions and limited sunshine expected.

Temperatures will fall into the 20s Friday night, bringing a noticeable chill. Meteorologists say there is a chance for flurries and a few light snow showers overnight, though no significant accumulation is expected.

The colder pattern marks a shift from recent milder conditions, with breezy conditions also contributing to the chill.

Looking ahead, temperatures are expected to gradually rebound over the weekend and into early next week, but the end of the week will remain firmly on the cold side.

Residents should prepare for the colder temperatures, especially during overnight hours.
