SOUTH CAROLINA — A motorcyclist died following a crash Thursday night in Greenville County, according to authorities.
The crash occurred around 9:50 p.m. on Tubbs Mountain Road near Upcountry Lane.
According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the motorcyclist traveled off the roadway and struck a tree.
The victim has been identified as Brian Doyle Medlin, 45, of Travelers Rest.
Officials said Medlin was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. He died at the scene from blunt force trauma, according to the coroner’s office.
The crash remains under investigation.
