
GEORGIA — Beach High School was placed on a precautionary lockdown Friday morning after a reported threat, according to the Savannah-Chatham County Public School System.
District officials said campus police began searching the school after administrators were notified of a threatening message.
As of 10:08 a.m., officials said there is no active shooter and no evidence that the threat is credible.
The lockdown was implemented as a precaution while the search of the campus continues.
School officials have not released additional details about the nature of the threat.
The situation remains under investigation.
