LOUISIANA — A 22-year-old man from Coushatta was killed in a shooting early Friday morning in Natchitoches, according to police.
Officers responded shortly before 3 a.m. to the 3800 block of University Parkway after receiving reports of a gunshot victim.
When officers arrived, they found Douglas Roberson, 22, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Police provided medical aid until first responders arrived, but the Natchitoches Parish Coroner’s Office later pronounced him dead.
Investigators canvassed the scene and spoke with several witnesses. Detectives also collected both digital and physical evidence, which will be sent to a crime lab for further analysis.
The Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office and Northwestern State University Police Department assisted in the response.
