TENNESSEE — One person has been arrested following a narcotics investigation in Monroe County, according to Sheriff Tommy Jones.
Authorities said the investigation focused on suspected distribution of fentanyl and methamphetamine in the Hudgins Mill community of Madisonville.
During the investigation, agents executed a search that uncovered what Sheriff Jones described as “felony amounts” of fentanyl and methamphetamine. Deputies also recovered a large amount of cash, along with items commonly associated with drug distribution and other drug paraphernalia.
The individual arrested has not been publicly identified.
The suspect faces charges including possession of fentanyl for resale, possession of methamphetamine for resale, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Sheriff Jones said the investigation began after agents “uncovered information during a separate narcotics-related case indicating possible drug distribution activity at the residence.”
The investigation remains ongoing.
