
MICHIGAN — A woman was killed in a hit-and-run crash early Friday morning on a Detroit freeway, according to police.
The incident happened around 2:30 a.m. in the southbound lanes of the Lodge Freeway near Clairmount Street.
When officers arrived, they found multiple vehicles stopped and several people gathered around a woman who was severely injured, authorities said. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said the driver who struck the woman fled and did not stop. No description of the vehicle or driver has been released.
The woman’s identity has not yet been confirmed.
