LOUISIANA — Two men were arrested following a months-long drug investigation in Slidell, according to the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities said Mason Metz, 32, and his roommate, 34-year-old Sesson Mason, were taken into custody after deputies executed a search at a home in the 1600 block of St. Christopher Drive.

Investigators said the pair is accused of dealing drugs. During the search, deputies reported seizing approximately 8.5 pounds of marijuana, 41.5 grams of cocaine, 935 grams of THC oil, 265 THC vape products, 98 bags of THC edibles, about one pound of psilocybin mushrooms and 3.7 grams of MDMA. Authorities also found 46 prescription pills classified as controlled dangerous substances.

Officials said eight firearms were recovered along with $101,298 in cash. Deputies also seized multiple items believed to have been purchased with drug proceeds, including a customized 1976 Chevrolet truck, two boats with trailers, a Honda sedan, jewelry and sports memorabilia.

Metz faces multiple charges, including possession with intent to distribute various narcotics, transactions involving drug proceeds, possession of a firearm in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of drugs within 2,000 feet of a school.

Mason is charged with possession of cocaine, possession of a legend drug, possession of THC products, possession of a controlled dangerous substance within 2,000 feet of a school and possession of drug paraphernalia.

“This case highlights the direct link between narcotics trafficking, firearms and large amounts of cash,” Sheriff Randy Smith said. “Our detectives remain committed to identifying and dismantling these operations to keep our communities safe. If you are dealing drugs in St. Tammany Parish, we will find you and hold you accountable.”
