
INDIANA — A 49-year-old man has died after a shooting Wednesday night on the east side of Indianapolis, according to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.
Authorities said officers responded just before 8 p.m. March 25 to the area of East 21st Street and Rama Place, just west of Shadeland Avenue, for a reported shooting.
When officers arrived, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to a local hospital in critical condition, but was later pronounced dead, police said.
Officials identified the victim as 49-year-old William Coriano.
The Marion County Coroner’s Office is working to determine the exact cause and manner of death.
Police said the shooting remains under investigation.
