GEORGIA — Westbound lanes of Interstate 16 are shut down following a major crash in Effingham County, according to the Effingham County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities said the crash occurred near Old River Road and involves two semi-trucks and two additional vehicles.
Officials reported that the interstate has been completely blocked, with westbound traffic being rerouted to Highway 280.
