Authorities said narcotics agents were investigating a contraband incident Tuesday in Elmore County when the case led to the arrest of Jeffery Young.

Young is charged with conspiracy to commit a controlled substance crime involving trafficking methamphetamine, fentanyl and synthetic cannabinoids. He also faces charges of illegal drone operation and promoting prison contraband in the first degree.

Officials said Young was located in Baldwin County and taken into custody. He was later transported back to Elmore County, where he is being held in the county jail.
