
TEXAS — Two people were killed and another was injured in a crash that shut down part of Interstate 10 in Beaumont for several hours Tuesday night, according to authorities.
Police, fire crews and EMS responded to the two-vehicle crash shortly after 10 p.m. in the 600 block of Interstate 10.
First responders said two occupants of one vehicle were pronounced dead at the scene. A third person was transported to a hospital and is reported to be in stable condition.
The crash forced the closure of eastbound lanes of Interstate 10 for approximately four hours while emergency crews worked at the scene and investigators examined the crash.
Traffic units remained on scene until lanes were reopened shortly after 2 a.m.
Authorities have not released the identities of those involved. The crash remains under investigation.
