LOUISIANA — A Slidell couple has been arrested following a narcotics investigation at a local motel, according to the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities said the investigation focused on illegal drug activity at a motel in the 58000 block of Tyler Drive near Gause Boulevard.
Deputies identified the suspects as 46-year-old Tosh Humphrey and 51-year-old Lucretia Bell, both of Slidell. Officials said the pair were found staying at the motel and were in possession of multiple illegal substances.
According to investigators, deputies recovered nearly one ounce of powder cocaine and less than a half-ounce of crack cocaine, both packaged in a manner consistent with street-level distribution. Authorities also reported finding four gabapentin pills, approximately 10 grams of marijuana and 18 Suboxone sublingual film strips.
Officials noted that Humphrey was on federal probation at the time of his arrest for a prior conviction related to racketeering and cocaine distribution.
Both suspects face multiple charges, including distribution of a Schedule II controlled dangerous substance and several counts of possession with intent to distribute controlled substances.
The investigation remains ongoing.
