One person injured following crash involving school bus in South Carolina

SOUTH CAROLINA — A crash involving a school bus caused traffic disruptions in Horry County on Tuesday morning, according to officials.

Horry County Fire Rescue said crews were dispatched around 8:35 a.m. to the area of River Oaks Drive and Village Center Boulevard after receiving reports of a collision involving a school bus and a passenger vehicle.

Authorities said one person from the passenger vehicle was transported to a hospital with minor injuries.

No injuries involving individuals on the school bus were reported.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.

Traffic in the area was impacted as emergency crews responded to the scene.
