FLORIDA — A Brewton woman was killed and four others were injured after an ATV crash in Santa Rosa County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The crash happened around 6:55 p.m. Saturday, March 21, on Lakefield Lane. Troopers said the ATV, which was carrying a driver and four passengers, was traveling east when it drifted onto the shoulder of the road. The driver then overcorrected, causing the vehicle to overturn onto its roof.
A 23-year-old woman from Brewton was ejected from the ATV and died from her injuries, authorities said.
The other four passengers were also hurt in the crash. Florida Highway Patrol identified them as a 45-year-old woman from Jay, a 67-year-old woman, a 1-year-old boy and a 2-year-old girl, all from Brewton.
The crash remains under investigation by FHP Traffic Homicide.
