One person injured following shooting incident in Pennsylvania

PENNSYLVANIA — A man is in critical condition after being shot multiple times Monday night in Pittsburgh’s Perry South neighborhood, according to authorities.

Pittsburgh Public Safety officials said officers were dispatched to the 2300 block of Wilson Avenue around 8:45 p.m. following a ShotSpotter alert that detected approximately 18 rounds fired.

When officers arrived, they found an adult man lying on the ground suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to a hospital, where he was last reported to be in critical condition.

Investigators said multiple shell casings were recovered at the scene.

No information about a suspect or what led to the shooting has been released.

The investigation remains ongoing.
