SOUTH CAROLINA — A 16-year-old is in custody after allegedly shooting another 16-year-old in Anderson County, according to the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies said the shooting occurred around 4:40 p.m. Saturday at the Meadow Run Apartments on Abbeville Highway.
Authorities said the victim was shot in the stomach and was taken to the hospital for treatment. Officials later confirmed the teen is recovering and has since been discharged.
Investigators said the suspect, who is also a juvenile, was taken into custody in connection with the shooting.
The sheriff’s office has not released additional details about what led to the incident.
The case remains under investigation.
