
OHIO — More than 10,000 homes and businesses across Ohio are without electricity Monday morning as strong thunderstorms move through the region, causing widespread outages.
According to the latest data, 10,067 customers are without power statewide out of more than 5.4 million customers tracked.
Outages are affecting several counties, with Franklin County reporting the highest number of customers without service at 3,135. Guernsey County follows with 1,851 outages, while Hamilton County has 1,640 customers without power.
Additional outages have been reported in Cuyahoga County (983), Hocking County (616), Montgomery County (261), Preble County (199), and Muskingum County (183).
Utility crews are working to restore service across the affected areas, though no estimated restoration times have been announced. The outages are being attributed to strong thunderstorms that moved through the state, bringing damaging winds and heavy rain.
Residents are urged to use caution, particularly around downed power lines, and to report outages directly to their utility providers as restoration efforts continue.
