GEORGIA — Police are investigating after a man was shot Sunday morning in the parking lot of a Kroger store in metro Atlanta.
According to the Brookhaven Police Department, the shooting occurred just before 10 a.m. at the Kroger located on Peachtree Road NE.
Officers responded to the scene and found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. Police provided first aid until emergency medical personnel arrived.
The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment. His condition has not been released.
Detectives are responding to the scene to gather additional information. Authorities have not released details about a suspect or what led to the shooting.
The investigation remains ongoing.
