SOUTH CAROLINA — A 16-year-old was injured in a shooting Saturday afternoon at an apartment complex in Anderson, according to the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies said the shooting occurred around 4:40 p.m. at the Meadow Run Apartments on Abbeville Highway.
The teen was shot in the abdomen and was taken to a hospital, where they are undergoing surgery. Authorities said the injuries are believed to be non-life-threatening.
Investigators said the suspect, who is also a juvenile, has not been located.
The Anderson County Sheriff’s Office is continuing to investigate the incident.
