IOWA — Authorities have located the body of a 75-year-old Vedic City woman who had been missing for nearly two weeks, according to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.
Officials said the body of Mary Anne Falk was found around 5 p.m. on March 21. Her family has been notified.
An autopsy is scheduled to be conducted by the Iowa Medical Examiner in Ankeny to determine the cause of death.
The sheriff’s office has not released additional details, including where Falk was found.
Falk was reported missing earlier this month after she was last seen leaving her home in Vedic City on March 6. Authorities said she had dementia.
The investigation remains ongoing.
