FLORIDA — Authorities in Southwest Florida are searching for a suspect wanted on multiple serious charges, according to Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office.
Crime Stoppers officials identified the suspect as Travis Merrell, 33, who is currently wanted in connection with several felony offenses. The charges include aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, shooting into a conveyance, discharging a firearm from a moving vehicle, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
According to investigators, Merrell is described as a Caucasian male, born on September 13, 1992. Additional details about the circumstances surrounding the alleged incidents have not been released.
Authorities are urging anyone with information on Merrell’s whereabouts to contact local law enforcement or Crime Stoppers. Tips can often be submitted anonymously, and in some cases may be eligible for a reward.
The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate and is asking the public to remain alert as they work to locate the suspect.
