
SOUTH CAROLINA — One person was critically injured in a crash near Loris on Friday afternoon, according to Horry County Fire Rescue.
Officials said the crash occurred just before 4:45 p.m. on South Highway 701 near Allsbrook Road. Emergency crews responded after a vehicle struck a utility pole and overturned.
The driver was transported to a hospital with critical injuries. No additional information about the victim has been released.
Authorities said all lanes of traffic in the area were blocked following the crash, and motorists were advised to avoid the area and seek alternate routes.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
