
INDIANA — A 76-year-old man was killed Friday afternoon after crashing his vehicle into a building in Greensburg, according to authorities.
Police said the crash occurred around 2:15 p.m. at 1330 North Anderson Street. Officers responded to reports of a vehicle that had struck a building and found the driver, identified as Michael R. Linville of Greensburg, at the scene.
Emergency responders immediately rendered aid before Linville was transported to Decatur County Memorial Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
A passenger was also in the vehicle at the time of the crash but was not injured.
According to the Greensburg Police Department, preliminary information indicates Linville may have suffered a medical event prior to the crash.
Investigators said the vehicle was traveling southbound on Carver Street when it left the roadway near the State Road 3 intersection, crossed a grassy area, struck three parked vehicles, and then collided with the building.
The crash remains under investigation.
