
ALABAMA — A woman was killed and three others were injured in a crash Monday afternoon in Mobile County, according to state authorities.
The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency said 54-year-old Shelly R. Ogden of Fort Walton Beach died after the vehicle she was riding in was involved in a head-on collision. The crash occurred around 12:30 p.m. on Alabama 158 near the three-mile marker, about five miles west of Semmes.
Officials said Ogden was a passenger in a 2022 Kia Sportage that collided with a 2016 Toyota Sienna. She was pronounced dead as a result of her injuries.
The driver of the Kia, along with the driver and a passenger in the Toyota, were all hurt in the crash. Authorities said they were transported to area hospitals for treatment, though the extent of their injuries has not been released.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
