OHIO — More than 3,000 customers across Ohio are without power Thursday morning, according to data from PowerOutage.us.
As of the latest update, about 3,224 homes and businesses are affected statewide, representing a small percentage of the more than 5.3 million customers tracked. Despite the relatively low percentage, outages were scattered across multiple counties and utility service areas.
Franklin County reported the highest number of outages, with nearly 1,900 customers without electricity. Other counties with notable outages included Clermont, Richland and Cuyahoga counties.
Among utility providers, American Electric Power Ohio reported the largest number of affected customers, accounting for more than 2,300 outages. Smaller numbers were also reported by FirstEnergy, Duke Energy and AES Ohio.
Utility crews are expected to continue working throughout the day to restore service.
