FLORIDA — A 33-year-old man was arrested Tuesday night after deputies responded to reports of a stolen vehicle on Southwest Archer Road, authorities said.
According to the Alachua County Sheriff’s Office, Octavian Arnold was taken into custody following a pursuit in which he attempted to flee from deputies. K-9 units were deployed during the search for the suspect.
Deputies said they later located approximately 36 grams of marijuana in the area.
Arnold, who has prior convictions for battery and burglary, is now charged with grand theft auto and drug possession.
The investigation remains ongoing.
