
KENTUCKY — More than 3,000 customers across Kentucky are without power as of Wednesday morning, according to outage tracking data.
A total of 3,125 homes and businesses are affected statewide, representing about 0.13% of more than 2.4 million customers tracked. Kentucky ranks ninth in the nation for total outages and seventh for the percentage of customers impacted.
Martin County reported the highest number of outages, with 2,542 customers without power — nearly half of the county’s tracked customers. Smaller outages were reported in Jefferson, Harlan and Lawrence counties.
Among utility providers, Kentucky Power reported the largest number of outages, with more than 2,600 customers affected. Kentucky Utilities also reported several hundred outages across its service area.
Crews are working to restore service, but no estimated timeline for full restoration has been provided.
