GEORGIA — A bicyclist was killed in a crash in south Bibb County early Wednesday morning, according to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.
The incident was reported to the E-911 center at approximately 5:21 a.m. Deputies said a driver of a 2008 Honda Civic was traveling south on Hawkinsville Road near Feagin Road when the vehicle struck a 43-year-old man riding a bicycle.
According to authorities, the bicyclist was traveling in the outside lane at the time of the crash.
When deputies arrived, the bicyclist was found unresponsive and later died from his injuries.
No additional information about the driver has been released.
