NORTH CAROLINA — A 67-year-old woman has been arrested after deputies say she damaged a vehicle in Collettsville over the weekend.
According to the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office, Karen Cooke Lewis was taken into custody Monday afternoon and charged with misdemeanor damage to property.
The arrest stems from an incident reported on Sunday, when a man told authorities that a woman used a board with nails in it to scratch his Tesla Cybertruck. Deputies said the vehicle’s onboard camera system captured video of the incident, which helped investigators quickly identify the suspect.
Lewis was subsequently located and arrested without incident.
She was transported to the Caldwell County Detention Center, where she was placed under a $1,000 secured bond.
No additional information has been released.
