FLORIDA — Authorities are investigating a reported disturbance involving possible gunfire at a hotel in West Melbourne on Tuesday morning.
According to officials, patrol units responded to the Americas Best Value Inn following unconfirmed reports that shots were fired inside one of the rooms. Law enforcement officers remain on the scene as the situation continues to develop.
Media outlets have been advised to avoid the area. Authorities said a designated briefing location will be set up in the parking lot north of nearby businesses, including Ashley Furniture and a Circle K.
