OHIO — A motorcyclist was injured Sunday afternoon after a forklift fell off a truck and struck the rider on Interstate 90 in Cleveland, according to police.
The crash happened just after 4:30 p.m. Sunday on I-90 East near West 110th Street. Authorities say a trailer hauling multiple forklifts hit an overpass bridge, causing one of the forklifts to fall from the truck.
Police said the falling forklift then struck a motorcycle traveling nearby, resulting in injuries to the rider.
The 56-year-old motorcyclist was transported to a hospital following the crash. Officials have not released information about the person’s condition.
The Cleveland Division of Police is investigating the incident. No additional details have been released about what led to the truck striking the overpass or whether any charges could be filed.
Authorities continue to review the circumstances surrounding the crash.
