
ARKANSAS — Thousands of homes and businesses across Arkansas are without electricity Monday morning as utility crews continued working to restore service across the state.
According to data from PowerOutage.us, 11,951 customers are reported without power across Arkansas out of nearly 1.68 million customers tracked statewide, representing about 0.71% of all customers.
Among Arkansas’ 75 counties, Saline County reported the highest number of outages with 3,634 customers without electricity. Other counties experiencing significant outages included Pulaski County with 1,628 outages, Hot Spring County with 1,534, Greene County with 917, and Garland County with 683 customers without power.
By utility provider, Entergy reported the largest number of outages, with 7,069 customers affected among more than 733,000 customers served. Other utilities reporting outages included First Electric Cooperative with 3,323 customers without power, Craighead Electric Cooperative with 1,133, and OG&E Energy Corp. with 221 outages.
Statewide, Arkansas currently ranks 13th in the United States for the total number of power outages and sixth for the percentage of customers affected, according to the outage monitoring site.
Utility companies across the state continue working to restore power as officials monitor outages.
