VIRGINIA — Three people have been arrested and charged following an undercover investigation into the alleged distribution of methamphetamine in Caroline County and surrounding areas.

According to the Caroline County Sheriff’s Office, investigators received information that crystal meth was being sold from a home in the Cedon area of Caroline County. Authorities launched an undercover investigation that lasted about a month and included several controlled purchases of the drug from the home.

Following the investigation, 42-year-old Erika Elizabeth Salyers, of Essex County, and 43-year-old Bradley Wayne Meadows, of Spotsylvania County, were charged with distributing methamphetamine.

On March 10, members of the sheriff’s office Special Emergency Response Team and narcotics investigators executed a search warrant at the Cedon home.

During the search, they found 40-year-old Pamela Marie Loving, of the Woodford area, who was wanted on outstanding probation violation warrants from Spotsylvania and Stafford counties. Loving was taken into custody and transported to Pamunkey Regional Jail, where she was held without bond.

Investigators later traveled to the Dunnsville area of Essex County to search Salyers’ home with assistance from the Essex County Sheriff’s Office.

During the search, deputies located Meadows, who was reportedly found in possession of suspected methamphetamine. Authorities initially could not locate Salyers and conducted an extensive search of the home before finding her hiding inside an air-conditioning vent. She was taken into custody without incident.

Officials said investigators also found and seized suspected methamphetamine, digital scales with suspected drug residue and packaging materials consistent with narcotics distribution.

Meadows was charged with possession of methamphetamine and distribution of methamphetamine. Salyers was charged with possession of methamphetamine and a third or subsequent offense of distributing methamphetamine. Authorities also served Salyers with outstanding probation violation warrants from Stafford County and Richmond County.

Both Salyers and Meadows were taken to the Middle Peninsula Regional Security Center, where they are being held without bond.

In a statement, Caroline County Sheriff Scott Moser said methamphetamine remains one of the most dangerous drugs affecting communities and pledged that the sheriff’s office will continue aggressively investigating those who distribute illegal drugs in the county.
