FLORIDA — The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office has issued a Silver Alert for a missing woman who was last seen in Boca Raton.
Authorities are searching for Catherine Kangadis, 73, who was last seen Friday west of Boca Raton, where she lives.
According to the sheriff’s office, Kangadis was traveling in a 2021 silver Hyundai Sonata with Florida license plate CAT42. Her vehicle was later reported traveling northbound on Interstate 95 near St. Augustine Road.
Officials said Kangadis has black hair and hazel eyes and is believed to be showing early signs of dementia, which prompted the Silver Alert.
A Silver Alert is used to help locate missing seniors, typically those age 60 or older, or individuals with cognitive impairments such as Alzheimer’s disease or dementia.
