
TEXAS — A motorcyclist was killed early Sunday morning after crashing into a semi-trailer in northwest Harris County, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
The crash happened around 12:30 a.m. on FM 529 west of U.S. 290.
Investigators said the motorcyclist was speeding westbound on FM 529 when he lost control of the bike and slammed into the trailer portion of a semi-truck.
Authorities said both the motorcycle and the semi-trailer caught fire following the collision. The rider was pronounced dead at the scene.
Deputies said the driver of the semi-truck was attempting to turn east onto FM 529 at the time of the crash.
The incident remains under investigation, and no charges have been filed.
