NORTH DAKOTA — A 21-year-old woman from Ohio died Saturday morning after a crash on Interstate 94 near Mandan, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
Authorities say the crash happened just after 6:30 a.m. on March 14 near milepost 139.
Investigators reported the woman was traveling eastbound on I-94 in a Subaru Legacy when she lost control of the vehicle due to icy road conditions. The car entered the median and then crossed into the westbound lanes of traffic.
The vehicle was struck in a T-bone crash by a Ram 3500 pickup driven by a 34-year-old man from Florida.
Officials said both drivers were wearing seat belts. The woman died at the scene.
The pickup driver was transported to a hospital in Bismarck with non-life-threatening injuries.
The crash remains under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
