VIRGINIA — Three people were killed and two others were injured following a single-vehicle crash in Reston, according to Fairfax County police.
Authorities said officers responded to the crash at the intersection of Fox Mill Road and Folkstone Drive.
Police said three adults were pronounced dead at the scene.
Two additional passengers were taken to a hospital. One of the victims suffered life-threatening injuries, while the other had injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
Crash Reconstruction detectives are investigating the cause of the crash.
Officials said the intersection will remain closed while investigators process the scene and drivers are encouraged to use alternate routes.
