OHIO — Three people are dead following a crash in Clark County on Friday, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Troopers were called around 1:45 p.m. to the intersection of State Route 4 and Prairie Road in Moorefield Township.
Investigators said a semi-trailer was traveling northeast on Prairie Road when an SUV traveling north failed to yield. The SUV was struck by the semi-trailer and then hit the back of the truck.
Three people inside the SUV died from their injuries, authorities said.
The two other drivers involved in the crash suffered minor injuries.
Troopers have not confirmed whether weather played a role in the crash. The roadway was closed as crews investigated the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
