
NORTH CAROLINA — Two people were seriously injured in a shooting in west Charlotte on Friday afternoon, according to emergency officials.
Emergency crews responded to reports of a shooting along Lucky Penny Street, just off Freedom Drive, around 2 p.m. on March 13. When paramedics arrived, they found two individuals suffering from gunshot wounds.
Both victims were transported to Atrium Health’s Carolinas Medical Center for treatment. According to Medic, one victim was reported to have life-threatening injuries while the other sustained serious injuries.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police have not released additional details about the circumstances surrounding the shooting. The investigation remains ongoing.
