OKLAHOMA — A Durant nurse has been arrested on drug charges following an investigation by the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics.
According to the OBN, agents launched an investigation at a Durant medical clinic in 2025 after receiving a complaint involving Advanced Practice Registered Nurse Tiffany Burke.
Investigators conducted an inspection at the clinic and interviewed multiple individuals during the investigation. Authorities say evidence showed Burke allegedly prescribed controlled dangerous substances, including opioids, to patients who did not need them.
According to OBN spokesman Mark Woodward, investigators determined Burke would ask patients to fill the prescriptions and bring the drugs back to her at the clinic. Authorities allege she then purchased the drugs from the patients for personal use or possible redistribution.
A criminal case was filed with the Bryan County District Attorney’s Office, and a warrant was issued charging Burke with obtaining controlled dangerous substances by fraud.
Burke was arrested Thursday and booked into the Bryan County Jail.
