ALABAMA — Authorities are asking for the public’s help in locating a Jefferson County woman wanted on a felony warrant.

According to Metro Alabama Crime Stoppers, Ja’kiya Renay Taylor, 23, is wanted in Jefferson County on a felony warrant charging her with failure to appear on a charge of second-degree assault. Taylor has been wanted since March 2, 2026, officials said.

Taylor is described as a Black female who stands 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighs approximately 130 pounds. She has long black hair and brown eyes, according to authorities. Her date of birth is listed as June 3, 2002.

Officials say Taylor’s last known address was in the 300 block of Roebuck Drive in Birmingham, Alabama. The warrant was issued through the Birmingham Court Division, and she is being sought by the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.

Crime Stoppers officials urge anyone who may have information about Taylor’s whereabouts to contact local law enforcement or Metro Alabama Crime Stoppers.

Authorities remind the public that all individuals charged with a crime are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
